On the page above you will find our charity counters, which highlight the impact that our donations have had - how many trees planted, how many vaccinations given, how many water pumps bought, etc.* We prefer to state the impact of our donations rather than state a cumulative monetary figure, as the impact that our donations have had is far more meaningful (people in different countries and from different backgrounds and different levels of wealth can have very different perceptions of money). That said, if you want to see our monetary donations, then simply click on any of the links marked "See proof of donations" on the page above and you will see our donation receipts for each of the donations we made, which clearly show exactly how much we donated to each charity in each quarter.

We aim to be as transparent as possible and so will continue to publish actual receipts for all our donations. SearchScene is not the only chartitable search engine - however, very few other charitable search engines publish their actual donation receipts, which contain a receipt number, reference number or transaction ID that allows the donation to be traced. Many other charitable search engines produce reports or self-styled certificates - but these are not donation receipts and are therefore not proof of donations.

* Note that, other than our tree-planting counter, the charitable counters we display are representative. We do not dictate to charities how they should spend our donations. Allowing our supported charities to spend our donations as they see fit, allows them to allocate funds to where they are needed most at any given time. Read more about that here.
